Miracle of healing

11.29.2010

Martin and Tracy Reeves have served with The Mission Society in Trujillo, Peru since 2004. Martin is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and an elder in the New Mexico Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. The Reeves’ vision is to train and disciple Peruvian nationals, equipping and empowering them for ministry, so that the body of Christ may be built up. They are also actively involved in the ministries of three local Methodist churches through teaching, preaching, and participating in youth and children’s ministries. The Reeves desire to proclaim Christ to the lost while empowering the Peruvian church.

The parents of six children, the Reeves are anticipating the arrival of another daughter, Jubilee Faith, this month. An extensive ultrasound earlier in the pregnancy revealed a hole between the two chambers in Jubilee Faith’s heart.

While attending a training event with the rest of The Mission Society’s Peru team in September, the group felt led to buy a prayer shawl for Tracy. The team prayed mightily for Jubilee Faith’s healing. Martin returned to Trujillo and their family placed the prayer shawl on Tracy. They continued to pray.

A few days later, another ultrasound showed that Jubilee Faith’s heart had been healed! The hole was completely closed and she appears to be in great health. Tracy plans to give birth in Trujillo this month. This Christmas, we rejoice with the Reeves family for God’s healing mercies.
