James Lawrence Donner, age 87, entered into rest with Jesus on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Jim and his wife, Rita, served as Mission Society missionaries in India and Ghana for nearly 20 years.

Jim, an electrical engineer, and Rita, a registered nurse, were instrumental in the founding of the Ankaase Methodist Faith Healing Hospital in Ankaase, Ghana. Today, the hospital is a model facility and provides medical care for the more than 10,000 residents in the immediate area and for those in surrounding towns and villages. It serves as a catalyst for the transformation of lives through ministry to the physical and spiritual needs of patients.

The Donner family has asked that memorial contributions may be made to the "Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Fund," 2615 West 32nd Street, Erie, PA 16506, or,  to The Mission Society’s fund for the Ankaase Hospital.
