The Mission Society mourns the loss of Rita Mae Livingston Donner who passed away on March 9, 2012 at the age of 82.

Jim and Rita Donner were missionaries with The Mission Society for 20 years. They served in India and Ghana, West Africa. In Ghana, the Donners helped renovate the Ankaase Methodist Faith Healing Hospital in the village of Ankaase, Ghana. Today, the hospital is a model facility and provides medical care for the more than 10,000 residents in the immediate area and for those in surrounding towns and villages. It serves as a catalyst for the transformation of lives through ministry to the physical and spiritual needs of patients.

Rita was survived by her husband, five children, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
