03.21.2012

Fifteen new missionaries were approved for service with The Mission Society at the conclusion of the Candidate Assessment and Orientation on March 14, 2012, bringing the number of full-time missionaries with The Mission Society to 234.

The week consisted of time for the candidates to get to know the staff and other missionaries, meet with The Mission Society’s staff counselor, and receive some introductory instruction in cross-cultural ministry. Interviews were held with each candidate to assess his or her readiness for life overseas.

This group of cross-cultural workers will join other teams of Mission Society missionaries in various locations around the globe. After attending The Mission Society’s Orientation Training and raising their own financial support, the missionaries will then attend language school for a period of time before departing for their field of service.

The new missionaries cannot be named for security reasons, but plan to minister is locations including India, Ghana, Asia, and the Middle East.
