Ashley joined The Mission Society as a cross-cultural witness serving on the Global Resource Team (GRT). The GRT is a ministry of The Mission Society focused on enabling kingdom workers to address local needs by providing specialized services and support. Ashley's specialty is children-at-risk.

Her passion for ministering to children at risk resulted from her constant interaction with orphans and vulnerable children while working in Africa and South America for other mission organizations. In 2009, she felt God leading her to focus specifically on the orphan crisis in Kenya, where she co-founded and served as executive director for the Project 82 orphan ministry. Today, she continues to respond to God's calling to serve children at risk as she travels globally to serve and support other missionaries on behalf of orphans and vulnerable children.
